Today’s review is on my long-term care experience with the Craft & Lore’s Port Wallet. As a quick feature review, there is a cart slot in the front and right behind that is another card slot. This is a wrap wallet, so the leather starts on one side and wraps all the way around. There is another card slot in the back. The final slot is the opening on top.
I was able to get 11 cards and four slips of cash inside. I really have this wallet packed, but it still only measures .7”. This wallet scored as our top quality wallets in our top 10 where no price was taken into consideration for the review. Honestly, this wallet has been the top ranked wallet of all time so far on Walletopia. It is made of natural veg tanned harnessed leather from Wickett & Craig in Pennsylvania. It is saddle stitched by hand. There is no recommended number of cards or cash. Cash needs to be folded twice.
There is no RFID in here which is fantastic. It smells amazing. It is made in Northern Idaho, in the United States. The wallet stretched to the load that I had without any issue.
As for my likes, it sits in the pocket without any issues and is very compact. The leather functioned well and it broke in without any issues. It is easy to access cards and is a nice weight of leather.
Now for my dislikes. The only thing wrong with this wallet, is when you don’t understand how it functions. The front slot is where I carry cash. I also have my access card in here too. However, if you just put cards in this slot continually, it will accelerate the wear of the cards. Being a simple wallet, there is still a way to use it wrong. This is not something to really dislike, but I wanted to dissuade what someone might think is wrong with this wallet, it is really just how it is used.
The company is all about quality products they create by hand. The motto is, “heritage, heirloom, quality, and durability.” Their logo is a Swedish Axe, which is stamped on the front of the wallet. This represents one of the oldest tools of our ancestor makers. Like I said, this is the highest ranked wallet we currently have at Walletopia scoring, and there is a reason for that.
The Port wallet is one of our highest ranking slim wallets and proves to be an easy to use, elegant solution for cards and limited cash using the highest quality United States tanned leather.
