(if you want to see all the features and how many cards and cash it can hold, please watch the video)
Today we are reviewing the Allett Front Pocket ID wallet. Generally you buy this in retail stores as well as online. Its packaging is really the insert, which comes on both sides. It is clever in how the packaging provides information about the wallet for you. This is the pebble color. We have reviewed Allett wallets before, they’re fantastic and it made it as part of the Top 5 Bifold wallets of 2019. Part of their secret is in the sewing and how and where they sew.
The Allett Front Pocket ID is a bi-fold. That means there are no features on the exterior. Some do. This one does not. If we go inside, on the left hand side, we have two card slots. One on the bottom, one on the top that you can put cards in. On the opposite side, the first slot is an ID slot with a plastic window. It also has a quick thumb push. Behind it is another card slot. There are three full card slots and an ID slot in the front. If we get into the bill pocket area, we have two. You have a slot in the front and another billfold slot in the back to carry cash, receipts, or even cards if you want to do that.
I was able to get 10 cards in there without a problem. I also got 11 slips of cash very easily. The company indicates it can hold 12 cards, and it handled these 10 just fine. If you have fewer than that, it would be even better. It is also compatible with foreign currency. This is an ultra slim nylon material, tear resistant, durable and resists moisture. It’s been made in the USA since 1995. They have a 30 day free return money back guarantee and a one year limited warranty. The price is $30 which is a great price. It’s designed to flex in your pocket by placing the card slots comfortably against the seams. The seams are strategically placed when sewn together so that it comes together without creating a lot of bulk. That is what makes this so thin and amazing. It’s easy to put in your back or front pocket. The no overlapping seams really prevents bulk. The design ethos of the company is to allow inclusion of significant items without creating bulk, thus maintaining minimalism. I think they really do that successfully here. These things are so thin. I have not worked with wallets with this many features before that are this thin overall. Allett really has cornered the market on being able to do this properly. It measures 4.13 x 3.38 x 0.2”. This is handmade, vegan, eco-friendly, and lightweight. Quality is a part of every step of their production workflow. They are a small company that really loves what they do and they ship all over the world.
So let’s get into the final score. For quality, a 4, price, a 4, features, a 4, usability a 4, and perception a 4. That gives us a final score of 40 out of 50.
