Today, we take a look at the Wraptor wallet by Alpha Leather Co. The card and cash insertion test was performed with 10 notes and five cards, two on the external in the quick access, as well as three on the internal. Minimum carry is likely four and reasonably could be six. The company recommends up to 10 cards in the middle section alone, so its capacity is really impressive.
From a quality perspective, it is designed and made in the United States, from a full-grain, vegetable tanned English bridle leather. It is hand-sewn using UV-protected nylon thread, and it comes in five colors. This is no gimmick by way of a wallet; it provides an impressive, clean and functional design.
From a usability perspective, this wallet has four aspects that make it stand out by way of its usability as a leather wallet. The first is the quick access card slot that is positioned on the front, common, but critical in the design with capacity built based on the flap that comes around. The second is the interior slot, with the cuts at the top and at the bottom, the cards that are inserted in have to be pulled and then inserted back in, therefore, they stay in place in a secured manner. Third is the angle the cash strap is placed, it is deliberate in the way that the cash should be placed with the folded section. The fourth and final is the flap that wraps around, it provides safety and security for the internal cards, and it makes it an easy platform to work on. The wallet measures 4.2 x 2.9 x 0.4”, and weighs 33 grams.
This Wraptor wallet has a lifetime guarantee. The owner/operator, David Jaski, has his store opened and closed at times, so when it opens, then it’s probably the opportunity to grab one of these wallets.
The final score of the Alpha Leather Co. Wraptor wallet is 4 for quality, the sewing could have been a little crisper. Its price scores a 2, as it exceeds the cost of wallets in its range. Features score a 4, since obviously it has lots of things going on. The usability is fantastic and gets a 5, and perception scores a 2, because the owner does not keep his store open all the time. That gives a final score of 3.7 out of 5.
