Previously, we reviewed several Aurochs wallets. This review will evaluate one of their wallets which has a very intriguing design, it is called the Aurochs Infinity trifold wallet.

The wallet comes in three colors, brown, green, and black. The reviewed one is of a brown color, and has a tan accent. It is a wrap leather style and has sewing on the top and bottom in addition to reinforcement sewing. The other side exhibits an accordion view, it is a type of wallet where it mimics itself, as its name elucidates, Infinity because it just keeps going around as it is flipped over.

In respect to the features, one thing to note is that there is no interior and exterior, it is all one. It just rolls with it because that is the Infinity feature, very clever design. Regardless of which side you choose, when opened up, a card slot can be immediately spotted, and another card slot right next to it. And if flipped, the same thing can be seen on the exact opposite side. Therefore, within this wallet, there are a total of four card slots besides the billfold pocket on the interior.

From a capacity perspective, according to the card and cash insertion test, a minimalist carry on this wallet is four, and reasonable carry is six. The company recommends up to eight cards and six to 10 notes. It did accommodate 10 notes in the cash test, including all global currencies.

Another aspect to the Aurochs Infinity Wallet is the lining which is everywhere, they use it to keep the wallet thinner than it would be otherwise, and that liner is the separation point for the middle slot, so it can be seen and felt against the finger on the other side, moreover, there are two pieces of liner serving that purpose.

The wallet sits like a snake on the table and is fun to handle.

One of the interesting observations is how it affects cash, and how to pull it out. Normal cash, when it sits in a wallet, it is folded once and once pulled out, it will show that bend. With this wallet, the cash is getting folded three times and not in a normal fold. It is rather a fold where it is against itself. And so over time the cash will come out, looking kind of funky. While it is a unique design, when closed the material begins to bulk up and it cannot be avoided, it is almost an inch in size.

From a measurements perspective, it is 3.8 x 2.8 x 0.8”, and it weighs 51 grams. They do have both an RFID version and non-RFID version, but they charge an extra $5 for RFID. However, it is well known that RFID material displaces leather. Therefore, to be safe it is better to get a card that is an RFID card and place it in any wallet. That is a solution to avoid worrying about getting an RFID specific wallet.

The final score of the Aurochs Infinity Wallet is a 4 for quality, 3 for price, features, and usability each, and finally 4 for the perception. That gives this wallet a final score of 3.5 out of 5.
