In this Bellroy Card Holder review gives us a look at a slim, leather business card holder that functions as a great wallet. It’s not just a mens business card holder.

The Bellroy Card Holder for the review came in the caramel color, but it also comes in three other colors. Interestingly enough, it also has a magnetic closure, which complements this wallet offering nicely.
There are no features on the exterior of this card holder from Bellroy. So, if we go to the interior, we notice there are two card slots, one on each side. The sewing is not complete all the way up and provides accessibility to all the cards on both sides.
Another interesting thing we see is a raised strip on both sides of the interior by the fold, which assists in keeping cards from shifting from one side to the other when opened. You’d think that wouldn’t be a problem, but it is with card wallets or wallets that are very open like this. It can hold four to eight cards and up to 20 business cards.
As the name suggests the Bellroy Card Holder is meant for business cards, but it works perfectly for credit cards and emergency cash. It measures 4.1 by 2.8 by 0.3”, and it weighs 31 grams or 1 ounce.
Minimalist card carry for this wallet would be four, with reasonable being six. The company recommends up to eight, but it really can fit 10 with no issues, which I proved out in a test with the magnetic closure handling. From a quality perspective, it’s designed in Australia and made in India or the Philippines. It is made from a premium, environmentally certified, veg tanned leather and is cut very thin, which is typical for all Bellroy wallets.
Bellroy works to infuse aesthetics into their products like placing threads seen on the front of the wallet for interest and texture. It’s not offered in RFID, which is good as it’s not needed. It’s priced for $69.
The slot lips provide easy bend backward access, which alleviates the need to dig for your cards. I do wish the stress points at the top slot, where the slots meet the back leather were reinforced a little bit better. The magnetic closure is excellent as it keep the wallet closed, is not too strong to cause problems when opening and with the card insertion being at the fold, it provides an extra layer of security to prevent cards from accidentally falling out.
Bellroy continues to offer innovative designs through old ways of doing new things. Ease of use is always a component, which is, of course, welcomed in the world of wallets. And with some initial usability testing, many issues could be overcome which would make their wallets, I think, really amazing. Now onto the final score. For quality a 4, price a 3, features a 3, and usability a 5. This is drop dead simple, with specific consideration made for ease of use for card access. And perception a 4. That gives it a great score of 40 out of 50.
