Today we will be reviewing the Das Offene Meer leather wallet. The company’s name is Das Offene Meer and the name of the wallet is the
The following are the features of the Das Offene Meer
As for the card and cash insertion test. Michael, the owner and maker of Das Offene Meer, indicates it can hold up to 10 cards and cash folded in half. We were able to get 6 cards and 5 slips of cash, and that was before the leather broke in. Therefore, I have little doubt it can hold 10 cards and cash while keeping it lean and thin. Quality wise, this is made in the USA, or wherever Michael is stationed at the time with United States Navy. It is made from an Italian tan leather. The hand stitching is amazing which provides good detail, texture, and design character to the wallet which you can see in all of his products.
The feel, smell and pliability of the leather is very good. By way of using foreign currencies, we can get Yen in here folded over twice and put in the back. However, it does stick up a bit. US currency goes in really nicely and low and has no issues. The higher number of Euro bills has the same problem of sticking out a bit.
The measurements on this is 3 x 4.25 x 0.5”. I love Michael’s products and the unique designs and styles he has carved out for himself in the leather maker world. These are fine products, loved by their customers, and built expertly by the owner.
For the final score: For quality, a 5. Price, a 3. Features, a 4. Usability, a 4 and perception, a 4. That gives us a final score of 4.1 out of 5.
Uniquely crafted with design elements you'll only find on Das Offene Meer (changed to Open Seas Leather) wallets, the Gun Deck has all the capacity you'll need.
