Today we will be reviewing the Delanora wallet. It is a bi-fold and made in Brazil. The wallet comes in a nice soft cotton pouch and tissue paper. This is called the Speciale meaning “special”. This is the whiskey color. It feels really good too and the sewing is done very well.
As for the feature review of the Delanora bi-fold wallet, there are no features on the exterior of this particular wallet. When we move on to the interior, there are two card slots on the left hand side. There is another card slot behind that on the left rear; and on the right hand side, we have two card slots. Each can hold two plus cards, and another card slot in the rear of this as well. This is a very simple wallet but a nice design that is very typical, but it’s nice. This wallet made the Top 5 Bifolds of 2019.
Now onto the card and cash insertion test. The minimalist carry option is four cards, and reasonably about eight or so. From the credit card to carry perspective, the company indicates it can hold eight. We put eight cards in here just fine and five slips of cash.
From a quality perspective, this is designed and handmade in Southern Brazil. It is a full-grain veg tan leather from audited environmentally certified premium leather from the leather working group. It has folded over edges. The sewing on it is just fine. One thing I really like about this wallet in particular is that there is not a lot of lining. It has lining on the inside and the back. However, the pockets are full leather all the way down.. So really, the only place you have lining is on the back of both sides. This really maximizes the leather, making it soft and reduces its profile as much as it can without totally compromising leather.
The leather is thinner, much like Bellroy wallets, but it does smell really good and is made from good leather. It’s very soft, very easy to put cards and cash into. You can expect it to conform to your body and be an easy front pocket wallet.
It measures 4 x 3.3 x 0.2”, and weighs 51 grams. This is a really good value for the price. I really like this wallet. It has a one-year warranty with it.
So now, let’s get to the final score. For quality a 4, price a 5, features 3, usability a 4, and perception of 3. That gives us a final score, 4 out of 5.
