Is the Otto a wallet or envelope? The answer is YES!

Looking like an envelope, the Otto wallet provides great space for cards and folded cash in a unique package.

Today, we’re reviewing the Otto leather minimalist wallet. It looks like an envelope. It kind of acts like an envelope, receives cards like an envelope, but there’s so much more.

Thanks for joining us today, today we’re looking at the Otto leather wallet. This is a unisex wallet made for men and women. It is made in Turkey. I think it’s a great place and it is a real leather company to go check out.

All right. Well, if we look at this right here, it’s got a nice presentation. If what you see here is what I’m used to seeing, I think you agree. I mean, this is really quite interesting and I like this because, and it’s what attracted me to it is that this is kind of an envelope look to it. It’s an envelope design. If we look at this, you’ll notice that it’s got a magnet to it here. So, it’s got this magnet closure mechanism. You see the magnet there and the magnet piece up there. It’s got fairly good strength to it. I mean, you have to pull pretty good and even if it came undone and was just kind of hanging there, flipping around, because of the multi-closure we have here and the coverage, I don’t think it’s going to be a problem.

(if you want to see all the features and how many cards and cash it can hold, please watch the video)

If we look at this wallet, it’s pretty thin. It’s 5 inches by 3.6 inches and by half an inch. But it’s less than that empty. It’s a lot less than that empty and it’s made from cow hide leather. I don’t know what grade this is because cow hide is really all leather grades but despite that you can see see it’s sewn very well. Looks like we have a slot in the very front here. We’ve also got one, two, three, four, five. So, five slots to put things in.

Well, let’s see what we can do. Let’s put some more cards in. Whoa, that is weighty.

So, the front pockets have stoppers for the card length. The back one goes all the way to the bottom. If I turn a card on its side, and push that all the way in, you can see how deep that is. I mean you can see that that goes all the way to the bottom. This tells me that this slot is made for money, coins, or keys.

Let’s act like we’ve got some bills we want to put in here, currency, whatever might be. Let’s put three cards in there as an example. That’ll give us some stack in there, and let’s just kind of lay it and look at the size of the wallet now. Despite how much is packed in, the wallet closes nicely. You don’t have to press it or fold it over. It just closes nicely. Has a nice click to it and honestly, it’s not that thick when it has that many cards in it. I wasn’t really counting there. We have 8 cards in there. It didn’t say how many cards it should carry.

So, it’s got a magnetic access closure. It also has RFID blocking capabilities here and comes in various colors. I really like this just because it’s different. It’s just the design that I think is cool and is different and unique from the typical designs you get from minimalist wallets.
