With the release of the Apple AirTag, The Frechie Co immediately released their Frenchie AirTag Speed Wallet Mini. It seems obvious, but there’s great design and excellent usability.

Many were waiting for the new Apple tracker, called the AirTag, to be released. As one would expect, many began hunting for wallets that could properly incorporate it. This urged several wallet makers to get it done, however, the Frenchie Company had theirs developed before it was even released. It’s also available on the Speed Wallet and if you’re not sure which one to get a comparison is available to help.
Regarding the features of the Frenchie Speed Card Mini AirTag wallet, the thing that makes it stand out is the little AirTag holder in the front of the wallet, it was positioned so it does not interfere with the rest of the wallet, as the wallet, when opened makes cash and cards accessible without knowing the AirTag is there. Each card slot can accommodate up to six cards, due to the bottom of the wallet not being sewn, allowing it to expand as more cards are inserted. In the space where the AirTag is placed, it comes with a small leather puck as a placeholder. If you plan on not using the AirTag, the puck works very nicely.
The card and cash insertion test was performed with four cards in each card slot, as well as the AirTag. A bundle of cash was used including all major world currencies, even up to the 100 Euro, works without concern. There were no issues with the insertion test, but the wallet ended up with a pretty fat thickness of 1.1 inches.
It is designed and made in Columbia from full grain vegetable tanned Italian leather, and feels like it has already been broken in. The magnetic closure is a great touch, but it does require some thoughtfulness of where to put the cards due to the possible demagnetization. A demonstration is shown in the video. The receiving magnet is shielded from the back of the cards so even though there is a magnet there, it is facing down to receive the opposite magnet, keeping exposure away from cards. There is also a board placed in the leather on the very back to provide rigidity otherwise the wallet might crumple.
Measures 3.4 x 2.4 x 0.4”, and weighs 55 grams without the AirTag. This AirTag can potentially be lost over time if not handled correctly. If the wallet is open, the AirTag could easily be pushed out, but when in the closed position, the wallet keeps everything secure.
The final score of the Frenchie Speed Sard Mini AirTag wallet is 4 for quality, 3 for price, 4 for features, usability and perception. That gives a final score of 3.8 out of 5.
