Today we are going to be opening and reviewing the Rugged Material Ranger wallet. This is the 2019 multi tool version. It looks like a deck of cards. It is made in Southern Utah, Cedar City to be exact. It has a nice compact packaging which includes a thank you card, a way to contact them if necessary, and instructions. Even in the small box we got some great instructions.

Now to the feature review of the Rugged Material Ranger wallet. This is a very complex yet very simple wallet. It has three pieces. The bottom catch, the slider and woven elastic. It is very sturdy.

As to the card and cash insertion test we got 6 cards plus 5 slips of cash. The company recommends a maximum of 10 cards and/or 8 cards plus cash.

From a quality perspective, this is made in the United States. It is cold rolled steel with a powder coat finish. This is a matte tan color. It also comes in a matte black. It has a lifetime guarantee, including the band. They have so much confidence in this, which is great to see in a company. It has 12 tools which includes a bottle opener, a quarter inch tool driver, a 12 millimeter fast access wrench, SAE wrenches, one quarter inch, five and sixteenths inch, three eighths of an inch, seven sixteenths of an inch and one half an inch, as well as metric wrenches of 6, 8, 10 and 12 millimeters.

The pricing on this is $36. It is TSA compliant and if something goes wrong, you can purchase extra bands, but they have an extra band that you can purchase which allows you to attach a Fisher space bullet pin to the side, which makes it an even better EDC type of situation. It is a little heavy, which is to be expected because it’s made from rolled steel, but with that you should expect it to last a long time and be able to take abuse.

It measures 3.38 x 2.25 x .38 “. Now for the final score. For quality, a 4. Price, a 4. Features, a 4. Usability, a 3 and perception a 3. That gives us a final score of 36 out of 50.
