Like most Kickstarter wallet companies, Supr Goods is a brainchild of two friends that produce the Supr Goods Slim 3 Fold.
The sewing goes all the way around. It is a card wallet and it comes with some information giving examples of where cards go.
The Supr Good Slim 3 Fold has no features on the exterior. On the interior, it has three slots, one on the right and two on the left with one on the front and one behind. The front right and left slots are elastic while the one behind has leather. This provides some flexibility to add more cards as needed.
The card and cash insertion test was performed with six cards, two in each slot, plus two slips of cash. The cash has to be folded in thirds or quarters. Minimalist card carry is probably four while reasonable would be six. The company states that it can fit up to 10 cards. It is designed in the United States, but the whereabouts of its construction is not mentioned on the website.
The elastic is strong, it is somewhat comparable to what is seen with wallets like the Trove or the FOCX wallets, very high quality in feeling. The leather does not go all the way to the bottom, instead, it is just a skirt of leather, and the reason was the slimness of the wallet, which was the primary design criterion. The leather smells and feels good. The interior flesh side is lightly smooth which shows it’s not overly processed. The edges are painted.
Usability is simple as the wallet is very slim and functional. It even provides an ability to insert emergency cash. It measures 3.8 x 2.6 x .3” and weighs 32 grams. The Supr Goods brand was started in 2020 by two brothers who found a mutual love of design and technology. They launched their newest line of this wallet, the Supr Good Slim 3 wallets, which includes this Fold and another called the Flip. As a side project, the website is really clean albeit sparse with information about products. Looking like a simple card wallet, the inclusion of high quality elastic on the interior adds to the usefulness more than detracts from the material perspective; therefore, this combination is excellent. The elastic provides the capacity advantage that is not offered with other leather card wallets.
The final score of this wallet is a 4 for quality, it has nice leather; 3 for the price, 3 for the features, as it offers reasonable features for what would be expected of it. Usability scores a 4, the elastic for capacity is rather a smart option. Finally, perception scores a 3, and the total score of the Slim 3 Fold from Supr Goods is 3.6 out of 5.
