(if you want to see all the features and how many cards and cash it can hold, please watch the video)
Today, we’re reviewing Trove’s Cash Wrap wallet. Trove continues to innovate in very minimalist footprints. This is a reflective blue color. Trove products always come in fantastic packaging. Not because it is flashy, but because it’s complete, yet it’s still very concise and compact. Instructions are provided on how to work this wallet which is great. This can hold coins, cards, cash, even keys. With this being reflective blue, this material actually reflects light. As we open it up, it looks like a trifold.
There are so many features packed into this wallet. Trove has managed to make this very minimal wallet carry cards, cash, coins, and so forth. As we look in the exterior, there are no explicit features. There is a band that actually keeps this package together. There is a quick access card slot accessible by pulling the strap. You can put cards in here, and then be able to pull them out quickly using the strap mechanism without needing to open up the wallet. This is a great way to have quick access to cards, without needing to pull the whole wallet apart. As we open the wallet, there are immediate access cards from the top down. When we open it up further, there is another slot, a small pocket. This is for coins, which works brilliantly, because when you fold this up, there is no way for coins to escape. The next feature on this is for cash. Underneath the wallet elastic at the bottom there is a small pocket where you slide your cash down into it. Once there, the cash lies flat and then folds up as the wallet is closed. It’s the cash wrap.
Now onto the card, cash, coin, and key insertion test. I was able to get six cards and six slips of cash, three coins and a key in there. This is rather amazing for this particular wallet and its size.
The company recommends up to ten cards.
This is designed and made in England. This one in particular is made from vegan friendly materials, but they also have Italian veg tanned leather along with Italian elastic. The sewing and durability is fantastic.
The price is $50, and that is based at a £38 rate exchange. It is not meant to carry crazy amounts of cards because of the interaction between the cards and the cash in the lower portion, but it’s more than capable.
It measures 3.3 x 2.3 x 0.4”, and weighs 33 grams.
I have really come to appreciate and love the design, feel, and performance of Trove’s products. This one again, is no exception. If you like minimalist wallets and carry cash or coins, you have got to get one of these. These are awesome. Due to the density of the features in such a small package, it would take you a few minutes to figure out how this works and getting to all the pieces.
Now let’s get on to the final score. For quality, a 4. Price, a 3. Features, a 5. Usability, a 4 and perception, a 4. That gives us a final score of 39 out of 50.
