The Correa Creative MICRO Bifold Wallet 1 brings the LOVE and dedication of leather craft to an amazing carry experience

A design company that got their start during COVID, a husband and wife duo brought both their talents to Correa Creative. We have their MICRO Bifold Minimal Wallet number one, so let’s get into it.
This packaging is amazing. This is a melted wax seal, and we have a leather stamped tag attached to it. This is impressive. You can specify the colors you want including the thread. I ordered the natural leather and the Bordeaux color, using a silver thread.
Sewing is double-stitched where it needs to be and is very nicely done
Regarding features, we have nothing on the front, but as we move to the back, we have a card slot. This is a quick access card slot. Love this concept and as you know, I think every wallet should have a quick access card slot.
As we move to the interior, we have yet another card slot, which is a piece of leather that’s wrapped around and sewn on 2 sides. 2-3 cards can fit here and if you pull it back, you find where you cash will go, with all but the tallest currencies folding only once. We have four more card slots. It measures 3.9 by 2.9 by .5”, and it weighs 64 grams or 2.3 ounces.
Through the card and cash insertion test, I was able to get six cards and nine slips of cash in the wallet. Taller currencies like Yen or Euro just didn’t work. Minimal carry options would be three cards. Reasonable is five. Company says it can hold up to seven cards. It inserts into the front pocket or the rear just fine. It will work in either location without an issue.
The company was started in 2019 by Frank Correa Jr. and his wife Kristina as an interior design business. As a mechanical engineer, he really was busy, but he enjoyed leather crafting, so much so that he did more during the COVID period and began to open up his own shop online, begging to sell his leather goods. Soon after they merged the interior design and the leather crafting into a single offering.
This is designed and made in the United States. It uses a full grain veg tan four ounce Italian Pueblo leather. Uses tiger thread and the edges are burnished very well. With this choice of natural, and Bordeaux colors, you can really tell the difference in the different layers via the burnishing.
It’s priced for $90. You know I’m always in for a wallet with a quick access card slot, like the one in the exterior. I really like that. There are so many areas to put cards in this wallet, and it really works well for cash within this small footprint. A very creative design with high quality.
For the final score, quality a 5. Price a 3, features a 3, usability a 4 and perception a 4. That gives us a great score, 40 out of 50.
