There are two versions of the Ridge Biflex MKBHD wallet: the standard and the special Jet Black co-branded edition developed with Marques Brownlee (MKBHD). Marcus’s version sports his logo in the top left corner and a more centralized thumb notch, which subtly differentiates it from Ridge’s typical side notch.

Card and Cash Test

Ridge claims the wallet holds up to eight cards plus cash, and during testing, we comfortably fit six cards and two bills folded twice. This wallet plays well with minimalist expectations — tight but not restrictive. The opposing card slot layout on both sides allows for a quick grab-and-go experience, and the dual thumb pushes (side and middle) help easily identify which set of cards you’re pulling from.

While cash handling isn’t its strength due to folding requirements, it’s passable. If you’re mostly cashless, the Ridge Biflex MKBHD performs wonderfully.

Construction Details

This wallet is crafted from a single piece of full grain waxed leather, sourced from a Leather Working Group (LWG) gold-certified tannery. That’s a good sign in terms of ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility, but remember — LWG certification ensures process quality, not necessarily leather output. So while this is probably great leather, we don’t get specifics about the tannery itself.

Internally, the wallet uses a durable elastic band sewn into the leather structure. It’s the same high-grade elastic Ridge uses in other wallets — but with one catch: the elastic is non-serviceable. Once it breaks (if it ever does), the wallet’s life is essentially over. A potential drawback for longevity, despite Ridge’s reputation for robust elastic.

The interior also includes a microfiber lining, reducing wear on your cards and adding a touch of class to the minimal design.

Design Details

The Ridge Biflex MKBHD breaks Ridge’s mold — and that’s a good thing. Moving away from their famously rigid metal card holders, this one focuses on soft-sided portability. Its design is simple yet intentional: opposite-facing card slots, dual thumb pushes, minimal stitching, and that elastic backbone.

Marcus Brownlee’s version also adds influencer flair with his branding and exclusive Jet Black colorway. As Ridge’s Chief Creative Partner, this is his first tangible contribution — and while it’s a modest one, it suggests interesting things ahead.

In terms of dimensions, the Ridge Biflex MKBHD measures 3.5 x 2.2 x 0.4″ and weighs only 0.6 oz (16g). This slim profile fits easily in any pocket without disrupting your silhouette.

Usability

On the usability front, the wallet nails it. It’s incredibly lightweight, intuitive, and fits neatly in your front pocket. The dual thumb push design gives you directional muscle memory — you’ll instinctively know which cards live on which side.

However, its reliance on elastic means no modularity and no repair options. If that worries you, you’ll want to weigh that against how often Ridge includes extra elastic in their other wallets — because you won’t get that here.
